If you have a base game and update both as NSP and want a combo XCI as the end result: Use option #1 to pack the NSP as an XCI. use base game nsp ONLY, here. Use Option #4 to package an update with a base game. Use the XCI output file from step 1 as your base. Use the nsp update to package with it.It doesn't make sense to split files < 4GB. For patching XCI to lower firmware: keys.dat/prod.keys is required. File must be as XCI. For splitting XCI: XCI can be split full size or trimmed.
